core-strength
Core strength increases your ability to be resilient, physically, mentally and emotionally. I call this "BlissFit" and teach HeartCore Yoga which interweaves mind-body elements in a single session to achieve a healthy "center". So what is "yoga"? Why practice it?
It's important to know, yoga is not a religion, rather it's a philosophy which originated in India approximately 10,000 years ago to improve health and wellbeing.
Along the lines of exercise, prayer and meditation anyone of any faith* can enjoy the benefits of yoga.
It harmonizes three elements of a person:
Body (strength, energy, health)
Mind (thoughts, beliefs, attitudes)
Heart (soul, spirit, emotions)
Health experts have been advising for centuries that physical, mental and emotional health practices influence our wellbeing.
The Judeo-Christian Scriptures teach in Genesis, "In the beginning God created..." and in the book of Deuteronomy, "Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength." The Hindu faith brought yoga into the forefront when it "adopted" yoga into their worship practice, however yoga is not Hindu as some are misinformed. Yoga may be practiced with or without spiritual worship in mind. Being mindful, a complimentary state of mind, embraces the present.
